New York Mills put 90 points on the board in Frazee Saturday as the Eagles posted a 90-73 road win over the Hornets in high school boys’ basketball action.  Mills led 44-41 at the half and outscored Frazee 46-32 over the final 18 minutes of play.

“The game mirrored Friday night’s game,” commented New York Mills Head Coach Jason Boe.  “We made a couple halftime adjustments and were able to get some easy baskets in transition.  We still need to get in better shape and execute on the offensive and defensive sides better, but it was a good first week to start the season.”

The Eagles were led by Derin Gaudette with 24 points and 4 rebounds.  Tate Olson registered a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds, while adding 5 assists.  Jonah Johnson contributed 19 points, 4 steals and 2 boards, Breck Hensch had 12 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals, and Noah Noffsinger finished with 10 points, 5 boards and 3 assists.

New York Mills (2-0) will play at Verndale on Thursday, while Frazee (0-1) will entertain Barnesville in a Heart O’ Lakes Conference contest on Tuesday.
