Dominic Aguilar connected on his first three 3-point field goal attempts and scored 19 of his team high 23 points in the first half. Agular was a perfect 5-for-5 on the free throw line and dished out 3 assists. He was joined in double figures by 7-foot big man Chance Fazio who finished with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Luke Newman contributed 9 points and pulled down six boards.
Fergus Falls held a 35-25 edge on the boards and made 11-of-16 from the free throw line.
The Otters jumped out to an 8-0 lead and after a field goal by Apollo they rattled off twelve straight points to put the score at 20-2. With the score at 20-8 the Otters went on an 18 point run to take control of the game, building a 38-8 lead.
Apollo was led by Quamar Gresham with 24 points, 18 of them in the second half. Thomas Dew finished with 10 points and led the Eagles on the boards with 7 rebounds.
Fergus Falls will host Alexandria Tuesday night in their first home game of the season.
