Seniors Kobe Reiland and Brian Lauthen, and juniors Titus Fuller and Tyler Bitzan are returning letter winners for fourth-year Head Coach Trent Hintermeister.  “These four players are going to be tremendous leaders for our program.  They were selected as our captains by their teammates and the coaches couldn’t be happier for them.”

Other players looking for varsity minutes include juniors Peter Huisman and Wesley Siira, sophomores Aaron Gillespie, Brady Perleberg, Dezmond White, Kian Gackle and Nathan Anderson, and freshmen Carter White, Lucas Fuller and Riley Perleberg.

“We are going to work really hard and we are going to have to be great teammates,” said Coach Hintermeister.  “We are going to need to learn from our mistakes as the season goes on because of our lack of experience due to losing so many seniors from last season.  So far I’m really happy with our mental approach to getting better each day.”

Kellen Traphagen, Adam Wagner, Brian Perleberg and Jeff Anderson will assist Coach Hintermeister.

“I believe Section 6A will once again be one of the best in the state,” noted Hintermeister.  “Ashby brings back a lot of experience and a lot of talent.  I feel they are the favorite in our section at this time, but many other teams are going to push them for the top spot.  I think both the Little Eight and the Pheasant conference are going to be very competitive from top to bottom.”
