The Ortonville Trojans were winless last season, but second year Head Coach Trevor Keller is optimistic that better things are ahead as the 2021 season gets underway.

“We are looking to continue to improve and move forward as a team,” said Keller.  “Last year we lacked experience at all levels, but we did see player growth throughout the season.”

Returning starters include seniors Meg Moberg (Center/Forward) and Lauren Hicks (Forward), and juniors Paige Sudell (Center/Forward), Taylor Ross (Guard) and Kelly Erickson (Guard/Forward).

Juniors Taya Conroy (Guard) and Melissa Wellendorf (Forward) will also compete for varsity playing time.

The Trojans lost Emily Ross to graduation.  She is playing basketball at St. Scholastica.

Derek Guse will serve as the assistant coach.

Keller says West Central Area, Wheaton/Herman-Norcross and Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley will be the top teams in the Pheasant Conference.
