Kate Christensen, a senior at Battle Lake High School, has been active over her high school years, participating on the volleyball team, as a member of the Student Council, BPA, FFA, Interact and FCA.  Her hobbies include outdoor activities, roller blading and water skiing.

Christensen was an All-Conference volleyball player this fall, was a National Qualifier for BPA in 2019 and 2020 and a State Qualifier for FFA in 2020.  She is also active in her church.

“Kate was our key leader,” said Head Volleyball Coach Jenny Roisum.  “She has a calming presence on the court and everyone listens to her.  She played any role we asked of her and did it with a great attitude. She started as an outside, then middle, and for the past two seasons she has set in the back row and played middle in the front row.  She has had a positive impact on the players, the coaches and the program.  She is an all-around, wonderful young woman and I feel blessed to have been her coach and teacher.”

Christensen plans on attending MSUM where she will major in Business Administration.  Her favorite high school class is Math.

Her favorite quote is from St. Catherine of Siena, “Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire.”
