Ariana Grace Arntson earned 4 varsity letters in Dance and 3 varsity Soccer letters at Pelican Rapids High School.  She plans on joining the MSUM Dance team next year.

“My favorite memories from soccer would definitely be jamming out with the team and becoming one big family,” said Arntson.  “My favorite dance memories are getting to dance on the floor every day with such amazing girls, and becoming a team/family with the bonding time we have.”

“Ariana is a strong leader on our team,” said Dance Coach Dacia Johnson.  “She always came to practice with a smile and shows great dedication.  Her strength and hard work really shine in her participation as a team choreographer for our High Kick routine.  She is a great role model for our younger dancers and is always willing to step up and help those who may be new to dance or just need a friend.”

Arntson lists English and Science as her favorite school subjects and says that “being in sports really impacted my life because you meet new people you never thought would be friends with you and when you join a sport, you automatically become a family/team.  Also another way sports have impacted me is to help keep school stress off my mind.”

“Ariana is an awesome person,” exclaimed Pelican Rapids Girls Soccer Coach Lauren Siebels.  “I really enjoyed having her on the team because she came to all practices and games with a positive attitude.  She is a team player and has the ability to understand and play multiple positions on the field.  At the end of the season, she stepped up on defense and earned her spot as a starting Varsity player.”

Arntson’s favorite quote is, ‘She believed she could, so she did.’ “That has been my quote to myself for a few years now and what it means to me is that if you believe you’re good enough, work hard to get where you want to be, because you will definitely get there.”
