Volleyball, Basketball and Track and Field have been the sports of choice for Hancock senior Jenna Kannegiesser.  Jenna has also been involved in BPA, Knowledge Bowl, Youth Group, Band and Free the Children.

“My top memory from sports is beating Parkers Prairie for the first time in ten years in the basketball playoffs my junior year,” shared Kannegiesser.

Jenna is planning to major in Elementary Education/Special Education at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.  She lists Anatomy as her favorite high school subject.

“Jenna is one of a kind and I really appreciate that,” exclaimed Head Volleyball Coach Kortney Ejnik.  “She has the ability to change the momentum and in volleyball that is huge.  Jenna stepped into the tough libero position this year and came up with some amazing plays.  She worked hard to get better every day and she played that position well.  I’m proud of her focus and dedication.”

Kannegiesser added, “Being in sports has helped me develop a strong work ethic that will open doors for me beyond sports.”

Basketball Coach Tony Thielke commented, “Jenna is a hard worker and has also played a role in helping our program become successful.  She has a positive attitude, is dedicated to the program, and is willing to take on whatever role is asked of her to help make the team better.”
