Pelican Rapids senior Logan Fahje has been involved in football, basketball and baseball, earning All-Conference honors in basketball and All-Section recognition in football.  He has also participated in MHS, FFA and Band, where he plays the Tuba.

“Scoring my first varsity points in football and basketball will always be top sports memories for me,” said Fahje, “along with all the bus rides with my teammates.”

Fahje plans on attending the University of Sioux Falls where he will major in nursing.

“Logan has been an important piece to the success in our basketball program the last two years,” said Pelican Rapids Head Coach John Gullingsrud.  “He is a talented player, but is also very hard working, which is why he continues to improve each season and grow as a player.  He has been a pleasure to coach and we are looking for big things from him his senior season.”

Fahje says his favorite high school subjects are Anatomy and Accounting.

“Logan is a very versatile athlete,” said Football Coach David Haugen of the Vikings.  “We eventually settled on wide receiver and free safety which have shown to be good for him.  His understanding of what we are doing has made it possible for him to quickly adjust as he showed when he moved back to QB for our win against WDC.  He is very committed to working to get better and committed to the team.”

“Sports have made me a stronger leaders in all areas of life,” noted Fahje.  “They have taught me good work ethics and time management.  Playing sports has given me a strong group of friends that I will always be able to count on in my life.”

Logan leaves this message for underclassmen, “Never take playing the game for granted, you never know when it can be taken away from you.”
