The Breckenridge Cowgirls improved to 11-1 on the season as they defeated the Battle Lake Battlers 3-0 Thursday night (25-27, 25-12, 25-13) in Battle Lake.

The Cowgirls were led by Camryn Kaehler’s monster night at the net as she registered 18 kills along with 2 block assists.  She also had 9 digs and 2 ace serves.  Abby Johnson added 8 kills, 6 digs and 1 ace serve.  Sophie Larson (21) and Carcie Materi (17) combined for 38 set assists in the match.  Victoria Undem had 9 kills and Riley Finkral led the defense with 18 digs.

“The Cowgirls had a strong offensive attack that the Battlers could not match,” commented Battle Lake Head Coach Jenny Roisum.  “The Battlers hung tough in the first set but could not make a strong enough comeback in sets 2 and 3.”

Grace Van Erp finished with 4 kills and 10 assists.  Ady Tysdal also had 4 kills and 12 digs.  Leah Koltes and Kya Ambuehl each rallied 7 digs on the night.  The Battlers finish their season Friday night against Parkers Prairie.
