“Once again we were a little short-handed tonight, and the players did well in roles different from what they're used to,” said Rothsay Head Coach John Reber. “We finished Set 1 with momentum and carried that into Set 2. The Warriors worked their way back and got us in the end, but it was a fun back-and-forth. Both teams played hard.”
Rothsay was led by Chase Balken (9 assists, 11 digs), Kenadi Carlsrud (12 kills, 11 digs, 1 block), Katie Reber (9/10 serving, 2 aces, 3 assists), Madison Tillman (11/12 serving, 3 kills, 5 digs, 4 assists), and Summer Wigdahl (7 kills).
The Warriors were paced by Ellissa Rinke (8 kills, 1 solo block, 3 block assists, 13/14 serving, 3 aces, 9 digs), Izzy Schmidt (15/15 serving, 4 aces, 3 kills, 5 digs), Olivia Hasbargen (18/18 serving, 2 aces, 3 kills, 9 digs), Kyah Thomas (6 kills, 11/11 serving, 1 ace) and Emily Berger (9/10 serving, 12 set assists, 5 digs). Amanda Lanter had 8 set assists and Avah Sykora came up with 7 digs.
