Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley swept Ashby 25-13, 25-22, 25-10 in a volleyball match in Graceville on Tuesday night.

“Our Serving was just over 90% and we struggled at the serving line at crucial points,” commented Head Coach Hayley Stevens of Ashby. “We did a great job on the net with getting our hands on more blocks and we had countless balls that came off hard and fast to the sides which were tough to reach the ricochet. CGB worked our cross court and deep corners and have some heavy hitters, they did a great job moving the ball on the net. We have a few days until we are back on the court and then meet Hillcrest and Rothsay next week.”

Leaders for the Arrows were Anissa Heinrich (5/6 serving, 3 blocks, 2 kills), Catherine Koefod (8/9 serving, 2 aces, 10 assists), Haleigh Brendmoen (7/7 serving, 2 aces, 1 block, 3 kills, 8 digs), Celi Nelson (8/10 serving, 2 aces, 4 blocks, 5 kills, 4 digs), Madeline Thompson (/9 serving, 4 assists, 2 blocks) and Ryleigh Brendmoen (2/2 serving, 7 kills, 9 digs).

No C-G-B stats were reported.
