“This was a defensive battle with Sebeka controlling their side a little better than the Battlers,” stated Battle Lake Head Coach Jenny Roisum.  “The Battlers started slow in set one but quickly picked their energy in set 2.  The Battlers made too many unforced errors in the match to maintain consistent play.  We had some big plays and some strong scoring runs but Sebeka’s defense wore us down.  The girls need to continue to work on reducing their unforced errors.” 

Grace Van Erp led the Battlers with 13 kills and 6 blocks.  Kate Christensen dished out 21 assists and had 13 digs.  Kya Ambuehl added 17 digs. 

The Battlers host Brandon-Evansville in a Little Eight conference match on Tuesday.
