“Another great night back on the court,” said Barnesville Head Coach Megan Askegaard. “The girls came out ready to play and worked together all night. Kim and Katie did a great job moving around our attack and keeping the Vikings block separated. Our serve receive passing was on tonight with our passers doing an excellent job keeping our setters on the net. I was really pleased with how well we also did blocking tonight. We recognized where they were going early and got our block in position. Lexi and Sam did a nice job outside playing defense and picking up tip balls and attacking to the open holes in the Viking defense. Our Middle Hitters- Emily and Jordan played another important role tonight being aggressive attacking from all areas on the net. Lauren and Anna were huge assets in our win tonight by putting up a big block against their outside attacks and giving us another option on offense as well.”

Pelican Rapids was led by Anna Stephenson (5 kills, 9 digs, 3 assists, 1 ace), Kelsey Isaman (5 kills, 8 digs), Tori Stephenson (5 kills), Ellie Welch (4 kills) and Sophia Paulson (12 set assists, 3 digs).

On Thursday, Barnesville will travel to Breckenridge and Pelican Rapids is at Perham.
