After having their game with Hawley postponed due to COVID restrictions, the Breckenridge Cowboys scheduled a home game with Royalton on Friday night.  The Cowboys posted a 41-8 victory over the Royals.

Jacob Vizenor scored all three times he touched the ball and ran for 104 yards to lead the Cowboys who accumulated 311 rushing yards on the night.  Vizenor also had 3 receptions for 53 yards.  Quarterback Cooper Yaggie completed all four of his pass attempts for 64 yards.

Vizenor got the scoring started with a 13 yard touchdown run and also scored the two-point conversion to give the Cowboys an 8-0 lead.  James Mertes added a 59 yard TD run late in the first quarter to increase the lead to 14-0 after one.

In the second quarter Vizenor ran 17 yards for his second touchdown of the night and Yaggie added the extra-point kick to make it a 21-0 lead for Breckenridge.  Yaggie then hooked up with Sebastian Anderson on an 11 yard TD pass and again booted the point after touchdown as the Cowboys grew the lead to 28-0.  Their final touchdown of the first half came when Vizenor broke loose on a 74 yard run.  With Yaggie’s PAT kick the Cowboys entered halftime with a 35-0 lead.

The only Royalton touchdown came in the third quarter on a 5 yard run by Brady Conrad.  Quarterback Drew Yourczek carried the ball into the end zone for the two-point conversion and Breckenridge led 35-8.

Griffin Busse completed the scoring with a 30 yard TD run in the fourth quarter, making the final score 41-8.

Conrad (15 carries, 81 yards) and Yourzcek (13 carries, 73 yards) led the Royalton ground attack as they compiled 209 rushing yards in the game.

Royalton lost five fumbles in the game and Breckenridge had two turnovers.  Anderson, Yaggie, Daniel Erlandson and Jared Aamold each recovered a fumble for the Cowboys to lead their defensive effort.

Breckenridge (4-0) will host Barnesville in a battle of unbeaten teams on Friday, November 6 at 7:00pm.
