The West Central Area Knights and the Parkers Prairie Panthers faced off in a close match on Tuesday night with each set seeing the Knights making comebacks from 20-22 deficits to post wins of 26-24, 25-23 and 26-24, sweeping past the home team.

“Steady serving by Morgan Stark in match one, helped the Knights capture the momentum,” reported WCA Head Coach Melissa Foslien.  “Elizabeth Rustan had an excellent hitting game too, going 37/41 with 15 kills.  Macy Grosz did a great job putting the ball in the hands of our hitters and we have been cutting down on our errors and learning to trust each other!”

Statistical leaders for the Knights were Rustan (15 kills, 2 blocks), Stark (7 kills, 18 digs), Grosz (29 set assists), Kaitlyn Hansen (25 digs), Mya Foslien (8 kills), Halle Foslien (7 kills) and Brooke Anderson (3 service aces).

The Knights will face a strong Minnewaska Area team on Thursday.
