Sauk Rapids-Rice was in Fergus Falls for a makeup volleyball match on Saturday afternoon.  The Storm won game one 25-17, but the Otters pulled even in the best of five match with a 25-17 win in the second set.  A 25-23 win the pivotal third game gave Sauk Rapids-Rice momentum into the fourth set, which they won 25-16.

“We had a very up and down day,” commented Fergus Falls Head Coach Sabrina Noon.  “We had some great moments.  I thought Logan Strom (11 digs) played a great match defensively.  She passed well and got some really tough balls up.  There were moments in the game that we just couldn’t get things to click and Sauk Rapids took advantage of that.”

Laci Strom distributed 23 set assists and had 3 service aces, Paige Pearson delivered 5 kills, picked up 8 digs and had a pair of ace serves, Tori Ratz had 2 kills, 1 ace serve and 7 digs, Hannah Prody recorded 4 kills and Katie Strommen added 3 kills.

The Otters (1-2) will travel to St. Cloud to face Apollo on Tuesday night and will host St. Cloud Tech on Thursday night.
