Bright won the individual title at the Section 6A Girls’ Cross Country Meet last week, leading the Knights to a second place team finish.

“Lexi had said the day before in practice that she was going there to win it,” said WCA Head Coach John Van Kempen.  “She had said the same thing the week before going into the conference meet and she also won the title there as well.  She is so determined and such a competitor that when she says she is going to do something, she is usually right.”

Bright had two runner-up finishes in the Section Meet in her history, in her eighth grade and ninth grade year, but this is her first title.
