Underwood won their Little Eight Conference volleyball match with Ashby on Wednesday night, 3-1 (24-26, 25-18, 25-22, 25-18).

“Ashby’s defense was impressive and they started out on top in every set,” commented Underwood Head Coach Breck Grove.  “I was pleased with how our girls battled back when we were behind.”

Reese Richards (22/22 serving, 3 ace serves, 23 set assists), Brooke Hovland (15 kills, 28 digs), Amber Frigaard (24 digs) and Josey Bugbee (10 kills) led the Rockets.

“This may have not been a win but it felt like one for the simple fact that we came out ready to play from serve one,” said Ashby Head Coach Hayley Stevens. “Each game our communication is improving and as the girls spend more time on court together the flow improves. Underwood's quick attacking caught us off guard at times while we were still in transition to our defensive positions."
