“I was really proud of how our girls pulled together after our last match,” said Head Coach Breck Grove.  “They fought back after being down 1-8 in the third set, maintained their composure, and remained positive when we were down.”

The Rockets were led by Brooke Hovland (15 kills), Josey Bugbee (10 kills), Kallyn Grove (19/19 serving, 5 aces), Brianna Evavold (11 digs) and Amber Frigaard (9 digs).

Leaders for Battle Lake were Ady Tysdal (13/14 serving, 9 digs, 4 kills), Grace VanErp (8 kills, 10 digs), Kate Christensen (7 kills, 16 set assists and Hannah Cory (5 kills, 5 digs).

“The Battlers had moments of control, but Underwood dominated the match,” stated Battle Lake Head Coach Jenny Roisum.  “The Rockets dictated the energy and speed of the match and the Battlers could not keep up.  We have a few days to work on our defense and we will continue to improve as we head into Thursday’s match against Rothsay.”
