Eagles Score 21 First Half Points in 27-6 Win on Opening Night

New York Mills jumped out to a 21-0 halftime lead on the way to a 27-6 win over East Grand Forks Sacred Heart on Friday night.

The Eagles ran for 192 yards on the night and held Sacred Heart to 106 total yards.

Daunte Leiran scored on runs of 3 and 45 yards in the first quarter, and Bren Salo added a 2-yard TD run in the second quarter.  Salo also took a kickoff return 60 yards for the final score of the day in the third quarter.  Jace Rudolph was good on 3 of 4 extra point attempts.
