On Thursday, the Hillcrest Lutheran Academy Boys’ Soccer team was defeated by the Detroit Lakes Lakers by the score of 0-5.  Three goals in the first half (including an own goal) and two in the second for the Lakers, accounted for the shut out.  Senior Captain, Zeke Ihrke, had some excellent opportunities to score for the Comets, but was thwarted in the box by the DL defense several times.  In JV action, the Comets won 2-1 with Drew Fischer and Soren Floden both scoring for the Comets.

On Friday, the HLA Boys lost to Central MN Christian by the score of 0-2.  Two second half goals by CSC left the Comets with a winless regular season.  Highlighting the Comet effort was reserve goal keeper, Yuchan Ha, filling in for injured Doulton Royce.  Yuchan saved 24 shots on the Comet goal by the CMC Blue Jays.

The Comets finish their regular season at 0-10-0, with their first 8A Section North playoff game Monday against number one seeded PRHS in Pelican Rapids at 4:00pm.
