Returning starters and letter winners include seniors Maria Watt (Middle Hitter), Mariah Iwen (Setter), Ellie Seidler (Setter), and Hailey Wagner (Libero), and juniors Mallory Leitner (Outside Hitter), Ashley Taves (Outside Hitter) and Gracie Geisinger (Defensive Specialist).  Junior Middle Hitter Megan Thune is expected to see varsity court time as well.

“With many returning starters from last season we have a lot of experience and good senior leadership entering the season,” commented Coach Tysver.  “The girls are strong at the net and defensively they have improved in the off-season.  We are strong in the setter position and offense has been connecting at a high level.  Throughout the season we will continue to work on being more consistent on serve receive and work on communication.”

Tysver points to Pequot Lakes as the team to beat in Section 8AA, while Barnesville, Perham and Breckenridge are her picks as the top teams in the Heart O’ Lakes Conference.
