The number one ranked West Central Area boys’ swept the top six places on Friday, recording a perfect score of 15 as they captured first place in the Knights Cross Country Invitational held at Tipsinah Mounds Golf Course in Elbow Lake. Breckenridge-Wahpeton was second with 57 points and United North Central claimed third with 69 points. Juniors Kade Runge (16:53.2) and Alex Salwasser (17:06.8) finished 1-2 for WCA, with senior Kyle Schill (17:08.8) taking third, and juniors Shad Swanson (17:56.4) and Reubens Swanson (18:12.8) coming in fourth and fifth, respectively.
Breckenridge-Wahpeton Head Coach Larry Lasch had high praise for the Knights, "The WCA boys are in a league of their own. We had a good battle with UNC for second place and the good competition pulled many of my boys to their best times so far. "
