Lobb Leads Otters in Boys' Cross Country Opener

Otter Boys Cross Country traveled to a course at Sauk Rapids-Rice High School on Thursday to compete against St. Cloud Apollo and Willmar in their first contest of the season.  Apollo won the team competition with 26 points, followed by Willmar (32) and the Otters (74).

“It was great to get things started and to actually compete,” commented Fergus Falls Head Coach Derek Meyer. “Junior Conrad Lobb had a nice performance and came home with some hardware with an 8th place finish in the varsity race.  Eighth-graders Jack Welde and Jaden Miller had impressive performances in the JV race finishing 4th and 5th place, respectively.”

St. Cloud Apollo senior Sam Brewer (17:09.8) won the race and junior Colin O’Farrell (17:25.7) of Willmar was second.  Third place went to Eagles senior Tucker Tenvoorde (17:54.3).  Willmar runners Andrew Flolo (17:59.5), a senior, and eighth-grader Sully Anez (18:00.4), wound up fourth and fifth, respectively.
