Bulldogs Host New York Mills and Parkers Prairie in CC Meet Thursday

The Ottertail Central Cross Country team hosted Parkers Prairie and New York Mills on Thursday.  In the boys’ race, Parkers Prairie claimed first place with 26 points.  OTC was a close second with 29 points.  OTC was the only girls’ team to field a full squad.

Johnathan Suchy (17:13.22) and James Suchy (17:57.99) of Parkers Prairie finished first and second, respectively.  Other Panther finishers were Jason Koehn (19:26.88) in sixth place, Cole Steele (19:56.12) in seventh place, and Justin Koehn (21:11.49) in tenth place.  Rounding out the Parkers Prairie runners were Evan Washburn (22:48.93) in sixteenth place, Isaac Grabow (24:29.00) in eighteenth place, Andrew Sansness (24:40.18) in nineteenth place and John O’Brien (25:12.60) in twentieth place.

OTC runners Isaac Scherfenber (18:33.28), Blake Alonzo (18:58.91) and Nick Carter (19:18.53) finished 3-4-5, while Noah Mansker (20:19.95) came in eighth and Joseph Froslee (20:53.39) was ninth.  August Wicklund (21:28.32) was twelfth, Drew Durbin (21:51.16) thirteenth, Norman Hoff (22:51.11) seventeenth and Buddy Kohlmeier (30:20.99) 21st.

Aiden Tumberg (21:26.11) was the first New York Mills runner to cross the finish line, taking eleventh place.  Cale Rudolph (22:34.16) was fourteenth, Breck Hensch (22:37.40) fifteenth, Chase Keskitalo (32:18.00) 22nd and Jeron Witt (36:14.28) 23rd.

The top two finishers on the girls’ side were New York Mills runners Bella Bauck (21:49.37) and Jada Goeson (21:53.08).

OTC runners finished in the next six spots, led by Faith Fisher (22:21.15) and Jorja Gabrielson (22:31.45).  They were followed by Ady Tysdahl (21:41.13), Grace VanErp (22:49.94), Becca Johnson (23:13.48) and Laney Frost (23:26.60).  Liz Lukken (23:57.51) was tenth and led a string of nine straight Bulldogs to cross the finish line.  The others were Reese Richards (24:11.70), Kyleigh Shebeck (24:14.32), Raeanne Frost (24:38.13), Ezrah Baker (24:52.04), Erika Heibel (24:59.91), Becca Frederick (25:59.74), Brooke Hovland (26:00.23) and Elizabeth Radermacher (26:18.75).

Kad Wehking (23:45.39). was the first Parkers Prairie runner to cross the finish line, taking ninth place.  Two other Panthers, Ashley Olson (27:31.52) and Hannah Shircliff (28:57.34) came in nineteenth and twenty-first, respectively.
