Carlson had a great start to the season as the Otters competed in a dual meet at Brainerd on Thursday, August 27.  Brainerd won the meet by the score of 100-82.

Emilie was a member of the 200 medley relay team, which won the first event of the meet with a time of 2:04.21.  She was joined on the team by Emma Koeckeritz, Olivia Herzberg and Lianna Jepson.  She then placed first in the 200 IM (2:26.52) and the 100 butterfly (1:05.94), before joining Jepson, Aisling Cox and Koeckeritz on the winning 200 freestyle relay team (1:51.44).
