Perham and WCA at the Top of Cross Country Rankings

The West Central Area boys cross country team and the Perham girls cross country team are ranked at the top of their respective State Cross Country Coaches’ Association Class A Rankings heading into the 2020 fall season.  The Perham boys are ranked second to the Knights in the boys’ rankings and Luverne is number two in the girls’ rankings.

 

Jacob McCleary of the Yellowjackets is ranked third in the boys’ individual rankings, behind Geno Uhrbom of Greenway/NK and Emmett Anderson of Staples-Motley.  Alex Salwasser of WCA in ranked eighth.

Morgan Gehl of Murray County Central is number one on the girls’ side, followed by Jade Rypkema of Nevis and Tenley Nelson of Luverne.  Kyanna Burton of Staples-Motley is fifth and Kira Sweeney of Wadena-Deer Creek is sixth.  Two Pequot Lakes runners, Calia Chaney and Rian Zutter are ranked seventh and twelfth, respectively.
