The game was the back end of a scheduled double-header that was played on July 24th.  Due to the heat index of 100+ that evening, the teams agreed to a single contest and with league seeding spots up for grabs, made up the 5 inning game at Reed Field.  Barnesville, playing as the visitor on their home field, would score in each of the 5 innings rapping out 9 hits and taking advantage of some fielding miscues.  Shortstop Adam Tonsfeldt (3-3, 3 R, 1 RBI, 1 SB) would spark Barnesville batting from the ninth spot in the lineup.  Adrian O'Brien (2-3, 2 R, 1 RBI, 2 SB, HBP) and Jackson Wahl (2-4, 2 R, SB) each scored twice, while Matt Samuelson's (1-3, 2 RBI) single plated the opening two runs in the first inning.  Haugrud tossed the first 3 innings, allowing just 2 singles, and struck out 6 batters while yielding just one walk.  Askegaard (2 Inn, 1 H, 2 K) earned the save.  

Barnesville completed the regular season with a record of 12-6-1 (11-6-1 League).  Ashby fell to 12-7 (12-6 League).  The league tournament will start on Thursday in Pelican Rapids with seeding determined Tuesday evening.
