The Fergus Falls Hurricanes played for the first time this season when they traveled to Fargo to play the Moorhead Brewers at Jack Williams Stadium.  The Brewers improved their season record to 8-0 with a 10-0 victory over the ‘Canes.

Grant Wehseler clobbered a two-run homer in the second inning to get the Brewers on the board.  Brandt Kolpack led off the third with a double, took third on a passed ball and scored on a ground out, increasing the Moorhead lead to 3-0.  In the fifth, Kolpack led off with a double that was followed by two walk, a hit batter and a two-run single by Tanner Adams to give the Brewers a 6-0 lead.  Four singles, a walk, a hit batter and an error led to four additional runs for Moorhead in the sixth.

Fergus Falls managed just one hit in the game off winning pitcher Brook Lyter (5IP, 2K, 1BB, 1H, 0R) and reliever Nick Salentine.

The loss went to Darin Stanislawski (2IP, 0K, 2BB, 1H, 2ER).

The Hurricanes will participate in the Elrosa Tournament June 20 and 21.  Their first game of the tournament will be at 10:00am on Saturday against the Freeport Black Sox.
