Wheaton/Herman-Norcross senior Maycee Tolifson was a three sport athlete for the Warriors, participating in volleyball, basketball and softball.  Her top sports memory was playing in the Minnesota State Girls’ Basketball Tournament.  Tolifson listed Accounting and Creative Writing as her favorite high school subjects.

“Maycee is an excellent athlete competing in volleyball, basketball, and softball,” stated Volleyball Coach Ann Dreke. “She was selected as volleyball captain and was looked up to by her peers as well as younger players.  Her guidance and leadership extended off the court as well.  Maycee will be missed next year!  Her joyful attitude and work ethic will continue to guide her in the future.”

“Being involved in sports has built my character and skills in teamwork, cooperation and goal setting,” said Tolifson.  “It’s been very hard not having sports, Prom and a normal Graduation this spring.  I have been spending more time with my family.”

“Maycee is one of those rare three sport athletes today,” commented Softball Coach Scott Bartholomew.  “She has excelled in all three earning all-conference in volleyball, basketball, and softball.  She also was selected as team captain in all three sports.  Maycee has been the ace pitcher over the past three years in softball and is a tremendous athlete who leads by example.  Maycee is also a tremendous student and outstanding young lady!  She will be missed by all of her coaches and teammates.  I just wish we could have seen what Maycee would have accomplished in her senior softball season.”

Maycee is planning on attending the University of Sioux Falls where she will major in Radiology.
