Perham senior Rowdie Lindquist played football in the fall and wrestled in the winter.  Winning the Section 8AAA Section football championship this past fall ranks as his number one sports memory.  Favorite school subjects?  How about Lunch, Phy-Ed and Quilting?  That’s what he said!

“Sports have taught me two very important things in life, teamwork and a never give up attitude,” stated Lindquist.  “If you are missing one of these, the smallest tasks in sports and even in life make them very hard to accomplish.  Teamwork and a good attitude will get you a very long ways in life outside of sports.”

Rowdie is planning on finding a college where he can further his education and play four more years of football.  As for a major, he is undecided at this time.

“Great leader and hard worker,” said Football Coach Kyle Knutson.  “He was a foundation of our line.”

“The toughest thing about what is going on is not being able to finish the school year with my classmates that I have been with since the first day of pre-school,” said Lindquist.  “To the underclassmen I just want to say don’t take anything for granted because you don’t know when it will all be over or taken away from you.  High School sports are a small part of your life but give it 110 percent every day.”
