Perham football coach Kyle Knutson said, “Isaac was a great leader and helped us out on both sides of the ball. Tremendous worker and pushed the younger kids as well.”
“Being involved in sports has built my character and grown my skills in teamwork, citizenship, leadership and many other valuable life skills that I will be able to use throughout my life,” said VanWatermulen.
Isaac plans on attending Alexandria Technical and Community College in the fall, where he will pursue a degree in Mechanical Drafting, Design and Engineering. Math was his favorite subject at PHS.
“This spring I started working full time, along with keeping up with my grades in school,” added VanWatermulen. “It has been a difficult experience, but it also puts into perspective all the little things we take for granted in our daily lives.”
