Underwood high school senior Noah Schleske was a member of the Rockets football team and was also on the Ottertail Central Wrestling squad.  He lists making it to state in football as his top sports memory.

“Noah played an instrumental part of our success this season as he helped shore up an offensive line that was short on numbers,” commented Head Football Coach Chuck Ross. “He is a very unselfish player who was asked to make a switch to offensive guard and he did it without any complaints.  By putting the team first he helped our team win by making our offensive line better.  Players like that are sometimes hard to find and I really appreciated that.”

“Being involved in sports has taught me how no matter what life throws at you, if you work hard you can achieve anything,” said Schleske.  “With not having to be in school I have taken all my spare time to help out my grandparents on their farm.”

“One of our most dangerous wrestlers to put out on the mat,” acknowledged OTC Head Coach Scott Hart. “He was always under the radar and rose to the occasion in big matches. His smile told you everything.”

Schleske listed Physics as his favorite high school subject.  He will be attending NDSU in the fall and will major in Construction Management.

“My message to the underclassmen is don’t waste the days you have in high school sports because you never know when it could be your last day,” concluded Schleske.
