Fergus Falls connected on eleven shots from behind the arc in the opening half enroute to a 75-55 victory over Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton in Section 8AA semi-final play Friday night at Concordia College in Moorhead. The Otters (25-4) will meet unbeaten Perham (28-0) for the title Friday night at 7:00pm, at Concordia. The Yellowjackets surrendered a 16-point opening half lead, but outlasted East Grand Forks 66-63, in the earlier semi-final

Gaining the opening tip, the Otters Ethan Olson scored from the right wing, part of an opening barrage of long-range baskets that carried Fergus Falls to an early 16-point lead (21-6) six minutes into the game. Fergus Falls connected on seven of their first nine shots from the floor, all from behind the arc, with four coming from Dominic Aguilar. Fergus Falls shot 64% (18-28) in the opening half enroute to a commanding 49-20 lead. D-G-F shot 28% (7-25). Aguilar had 15 points in the half, all on 3's, with Chance Fazio adding 10, and Cody Norgren and Brock Kotschevar adding a pair of treys and 8 points each. Jacob Strand had 8 for the Rebels.

The lead grew to as much as 31 in the second half, before the Fergus Falls starters were pulled with about six minutes to go. The Otter reserves did not fare well as they had several turnovers in a 15-0 D-G-F run that cut the lead to 16 (69-53) with about three minutes left and forced Otter Coach Matt Johnson to put his starters back in to finish the contest. D-G-F had gone to an all-senior line-up during its run that included three starters.

Fazio finished with a game-high 21 points and 14 rebounds followed by Aguilar (19), Norgren (14), Kotschevar (8), and Olson (7). Fergus Falls finished the contest 28-of-44 from the field for 63% and were 8-of-14 at the free throw line. Aguilar also distributed 7 assists and Parker Jacobs added 5 dimes. Aiden Leach had 20 and Jacob Strand 14 for the Rebels who finished making 32% (17-52) from the field and 14-of-18 at the line.

Winning their 15th consecutive game, Fergus Falls improves to 25-4. D-G-F finishes their season, 22-7.
