“DGF got up on us early and we were never able to get our footing and make a run at them to get a lead of our own as they were able to dictate the pace and flow of the game,” stated Pelican Rapids Head Coach John Gullingsrud.  “We just didn’t have an answer for the Leach brothers on defense as they really took it to us in the paint and made big shots whenever we would get their lead down to five or six points.  It is always tough and seems abrupt when your basketball season comes to an end, but we had a good season overall and have had a great bunch of boys to work with.”

Aiden Leach scored a game high 26 points and Owen Leach added 23 to lead the Rebels.

Leading the way for Pelican Rapids were Logan Petznick with 14, including 4 3’s and Logan Fahje with 13.

DGF (22-6) will take on Fergus Falls in an 8AA semifinal contest at 7:45pm Wednesday at Concordia College in Moorhead.
