The Henning boys’ basketball team shot 59% (35-59) from the floor on Saturday afternoon as they turned back the New York Mills Eagles by the score of 85-48 in the Section 6A playoffs at ‘The Hive’ in Perham

Blake Wallevand finished with 24 points on 10-of-14 shooting.  Parker Fraki added 19 points, making 8-of-12 field goal attempts.  He also had 5 rebounds and 4 steals.  Isaac Fisher contributed 17 points and Blaine Wallevand chipped in with 11.  Tanner Arndt distributed 3 assists.

“We are excited to earn an opportunity to play again on Monday,” commented Henning Head Coach Randy Misegades.  “Nice offensive game for us with good balance.

New York Mills presents some challenges with their offensive firepower. We got better after a rocky start on the defensive end.”

Henning will play Mahnomen/Waubun at 6:00pm Monday in a Section 6A semifinal contest at Concordia College in Moorhead.  The Thunderbirds advanced with a 60-56 win over Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal on Saturday.
