Fergus Falls Boys Take Care of Business in Playoff Opener

From the opening tip the game belonged to Fergus Falls on Thursday night as the Otters scored the first 24 points of the night and held Menahga without a point for the first seven-plus minutes of the game as they built a 57-8 halftime lead on the way to a 70-31 victory on Thursday night in the first round of the Section 8AA playoffs.

Chance Fazio registered a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds.  Dominic Aguilar had 14 points, 3 steals, 3 rebounds and 2 assists.  Cody Norgren contributed 13 points and Abel Aho chipped in with 10 points off the bench.  Parker Jacobs came up with 5 rebounds and 3 assists, Ethan Olson had 4 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists, and Kaden Conklin grabbed 5 boards.

Tristan Aho scored a team high 15 to lead the Braves and Wade Berttunen joined him in double digits with 10 points.

Menahga finished their season with a 13-15 record.

Fergus Falls (23-4) continues 8AA playoff action with a quarterfinal round game at 4:30pm Saturday against Warroad (17-10) at Concordia College in Moorhead.
