“We played a really solid first half as we shot the ball well against their zone defense and were active on our defensive end,” commented Pelican Rapids Head Coach John Gullingsrud. “We came out sluggish in the second half, however, and they were able to cut the lead to one with seven minutes to go in the game. Our guys dug in after that as we went on a 19-2 run to close the game and come away with the win.”

McHale Korf poured in 26 points and Jayden Rutherford added 22 to lead the Vikings.  Logan Fahje finished with 15.

The Wolverines were led by Bereket Loer with 16, Payton Rondestvedt with 15 and Lucas Hinojos with 10.

Pelican Rapids (19-8) will face DGF (21-6) on Saturday at 6:15pm at Concordia College in Moorhead.  The Vikings beat the Rebels 72-70 on December 10 in Pelican Rapids and lost in overtime, 81-80 at Glyndon on January 28.
