Wheaton/Herman-Norcross jumped out to a 40-17 halftime lead on Monday night in their Section 6A Play-in game against Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley. The Warriors went on to record a 76-33 victory over the Wolverines, advancing to a first round playoff game in Parkers Prairie at 7:00pm Thursday.
“We were able to put a lot of pressure on CGB which allowed us to run the floor and get some transition points,” commented Warriors Head Coach Jordon Roos. “This helped us get a comfortable lead and control most of the game.”
Matt Thielen poured in 26 points to lead all scorers. Nick Lupkes dished out 10 assists, had 5 steals, snared 8 rebounds and scored 5 points. Clint Determan and Michael Franzese added 9 points each.
Wheaton/Herman-Norcross shot 53.5% from the field and made 37.5% of their three-point attempts.
