“It was a physical game and our boys really played hard until the end,” commented Rothsay Head Coach Taylor Fuhs.  “We didn’t close the game out how we wanted to, but we made enough plays to win.  It was great to see our boys play hard and play well for our last home game for our seniors.”

Rothsay was led by Colby Larson with 27 points and 5 rebounds. Tanner Heier contributed 13 points and 6 rebounds and Matthew Danielson had 9 points.

The Rockets were led by Canaan Kugler with 16 points.  Izic Albright and Winston Heifort were also in double figures with 14 and 11 points, respectively, and Krosby Aasness chipped in with 9 points.

“It was a back-and-forth battle the entire night and unfortunately we couldn’t come out on top,” said Underwood Head Coach Evan Meece.  “We battled all the way to the bitter end.  I’m proud of the way the boys worked hard and finished strong.  I want to thank the seniors, Braden Thorson, Canaan Kugler, Tim DeVaney and Winston Heifort for all their hard work and always battling through every game.  This team never gave up and always battled in every game this year.”

The Tigers will play the top-seeded team in the North half of Section 6A, Henning, on Thursday night at 7:00pm on the Hornets home floor.
