The Battle Lake boys' basketball team ended the regular season with a 68-49 road win over the Bertha-Hewitt Bears on Friday night.

The Battlers were led by Riley Leabo and Drew Johnson with 17 and 16 points, respectively.  Brady VanErp finished with 12 and Brennan Amundson chipped in with 10 points.

"We struggled at times tonight, but finished out the game well," commented Battle Lake Head Coach C.J. Peeters.  "Riley went down with an ankle injury and we're hoping he can rebound before next game.  Brennan got in some foul trouble so we had a lot of different guys step up.  Drew had a nice game, Brady fought through some adversity and overall I am happy with how we have finished the year getting back to .500 after starting 0-8."

Battle Lake has won seven of their last eight games and will take a 12-12 mark into the Section 6A playoffs.
