After two scoreless periods the Cardinals notched a pair of third period goals to advance to the Section final.  Shane Birkeland scored the first goal at 4:58 with assists from Josiah Gronholz and Jacob Partington.  A shorthanded empty net goal by Caleb Strong at 16:39 clinched it for the Cardinals.

Christopher Loken recorded the shutout in the Alexandria net, stopping all 17 Little Falls shots.

Dane Couture stopped 30 of 31 shots he faced in the Flyers net.

Alexandria will now face top-seeded St. Cloud Cathedral for the Section 6A championship on Thursday at 7:00pm at the MAC in St. Cloud.
