Fergus Falls closed out a perfect Central Lakes Conference season as they finished 15-0 following their 76-58 win over Sartell-St. Stephen on Friday night in Sartell.  The Otters are 22-4 overall.

Carlie Meis, stepping into the starting lineup due to the illness of senior Gretchen Davis, had a solid night with 10 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, 4 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals.  Ellie Colbeck had her usual great night, scoring 20 points, snaring 4 rebounds, dishing out 3 assists and recording 3 steals.  Paige Pearson contributed 14 points, 6 rebounds and a pair of assists, Tori Ratz had 11 points and 5 rebounds, and Sabrina Fronning chipped in with 8 points and 6 assists.

“I really liked our balance tonight and we’re excited about the perfect CLC record and the fact that both the Otter boys and girls teams won a conference title this season,” said Fergus Falls Head Coach Brad Strand.  “Carlie Meis really gave us great energy filling in for Gretchen Davis and we did a nice job taking care of the basketball.  We are looking forward to the challenge we will face on Thursday as we open the Section playoffs on our home floor.”

Sartell had four players in double figures, led by Greta Mahowald with 15 and Avery Templin with 13.  Courtney Snoberger added a dozen and Megan Driste had 11.

Fergus Falls (22-4) is the top-seeded team in Section 8AA.  They will host Wadena-Deer Creek in their first post season game at 7:00pm Thursday.

The Otter JV team completed their season with a 20-4 record after winning 45-29 at Sartell.  Emily Nuss had 9 points for the Otters.
