Brandon-Evansville beat Browerville/Eagle Valley by a score of 60-54 on Friday night.

“I thought at times you could tell we were at the end of a tough week tonight with how we took care of the ball,” reported B-E Head Coach Trent Hintermeister. “We were a little sloppier than we had been earlier this week, but we found a way to win against a good team in Browerville. We had guys step up and make some big plays when it really mattered down the stretch.”

Leaders for the Chargers were Tanner Bitzan with 21 and Marshall Riedel with 16.  Keagan Schiele added 8 and Titus Fuller contributed 7 points.

Dylan Uphus led Browerville/Eagle Valley with 21 points, including five 3’s. Two other players, Corey Meyer and Parker Duncan, finished with 14 points each.

“We have 2 games left in the regular season, and they are both important as we look to secure a playoff spot in what I believe is the toughest section in class A basketball,” noted Coach Hintermeister.

The Chargers (17-7) have won five in a row and nine of their last ten games.  They will close out their regular season schedule with home games against C-G-B on Monday and West Central Area on Thursday in Evansville.
