Jenna Fabre knocked down the game winner for the Tigers.
“I’m so proud of these girls, playing the game from start to finish,” stated Rothsay Head coach Anita Heier. “We trailed by as much as 13 in the second half and took our first lead of the game with eleven seconds to go with Jenna Fabre’s winning 3-point shot. These girls never give up. It was a great team win!”
Fabre finished with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the Tigers, who were led by Jayna Gronewold with 34 points, 12 rebounds and 7 steals. Kenadi Carlsrud added 8 points and 6 boards.
Rothsay (11-16) will travel to Henning on Thursday to face the top-seeded Hornets.
The Rothsay Tigers edged NCE/UH 64-63 to advance in 6A.
