Hornets Clinch 3rd Straight Park Region Conference Crown

Isaac Fisher sparked Henning with 22 points on 9-of-12 shooting and added 6 rebounds, 5 steals and 3 assists as the Hornets ripped Bertha-Hewitt 70-34 in a high school’ boys basketball game in Bertha on Friday night.  The Hornets ran their winning streak to 16 games with the victory as they improved to 23-1 on the season.

Lee Bjorklund was also in double figures with 10 points and Parker Fraki had a team high 8 rebounds.  Blake Wallevand distributed 3 assists and scored 6 points, while Blaine Wallevand added 7 points.

“We took care of business and claimed our 3rd straight outright Park Region Conference title,” stated Henning Head Coach Randy Misegades. “We finished the PRC schedule at 14-0 and have now won 34 straight conference games over the past three years. I am very proud of the fight and determination of our guys. We finish the regular season with two tough games next week.”

The Hornets begin the week with a Monday night contest in Henning against Browerville/Eagle Valley and close out their schedule at Parkers Prairie on Friday night.

The Bears close out their season with home games against Pillager on Thursday and Battle Lake on Friday.
