Spartans Fall to St. Cloud by 12

The Cyclones of St. Cloud Technical and Community College shot 47.5% (28-59) from the field, including 46.7% (14-30) from beyond the arc, and made 20-of-23 (87%) free throws as they handed M State a 90-78 loss on Wednesday night in Fergus Falls.

Torez Kinchen led the Cyclones with 21 points and 10 rebounds.  Eric Racine scored 17 points and dished out 4 assists, London Williams had 16 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals, Paul Coleman finished with 12 points, 4 assists and 3 steals, and Tierre Davis added 11 points off the bench. St. Cloud held a 41-30 advantage on the boards.

Nic Pearson made 9-of-13 field goal attempts, hitting 5-of-7 3’s, and led the Spartans with 23 points. Alend Alemadi added 18 and James Hobson provided 15 points and 4 steals off the bench.  Renell Edwards had a team high 5 assists and also came up with 4 steals, and Zakaria Zaid registered 10 rebounds on the night.

M State (8-18, 2-11 MCAC South) will close out their season with a home game against Ridgewater College on Saturday at 2:00pm.
