The Fergus Falls boys’ basketball team followed up their last second win over Alexandria on Friday night with a thrilling 67-62 overtime win in Bemidji on Saturday afternoon.

The Otters trailed 27-24 at the half and trailed by as many as eight points in the second half.  With Bemidji leading 47-45 Dominic Aguilar hit 3-pointers on back-to-back possession to give the Otters a 51-47 lead.  Bemidji regained the advantage at 55-52, however, Brock Kotschever drained a game-tying 3 to tie the game at 55-55.  Bemidji had a good look at the basket as they tried to win the game in regulation, but the shot caught the rim.  Two offensive rebound shots also missed and the game went to overtime.  Aguilar drilled a three on the first possession of OT and hit a driving left handed layup on the Otters second possession to answer a two-point field goal by Colten Jensen of the Lumberjacks.  Aguilar scored 7 of the Otters 12 overtime points and Kotschevar was clutch on a pair of overtime free throws to help the Otters the win.

Aguilar, who was held without a first half point, scored 11 points in the second half and added 7 in OT to finish with a team high 18 points.  Chance Fazio added 16 and Ethan Olson scored 15, including three of the Otters 9 3-point field goals.

Jensen led Bemidji with a game high 23 points, making 9-of-14 from the line.  Silas Hess scored a dozen and Gavin Luksik contributed 11.  Point guard Quincy Wilson added 8.

Fergus Falls is now 19-4 overall.  They have won 13 of their last 14 games, have a 9 game winning streak and have put together seven straight road victories.  They will travel to St. Cloud on Tuesday to face the Tech Tigers.
Bemidji goes to 13-6 on the season.
