Blake Wallevand poured in 28 points and Isaac Fisher added 23 to lead the Henning Hornets to a 91-67 home court victory over New York Mills on Thursday night.

The Hornets shot 54% from the field with Wallevand connecting on 12-of-17 and Fisher on 11-of-17 field goal attempts to lead the way.  Blaine Wallevand also finished in double figures with 17 points.

Leading rebounders were Blake Wallevand with 8, Parker Fraki with 6 and Fisher with 5. Fisher also had a team high 6 steals and Fraki led with 6 assists.

“I give New York Mills a lot of credit,” said Henning Head Coach Randy Misegades. “They came ready to play. We struggled big time on defense and got out hustled for most of the game. We scored a lot of points, but we definitely have some things to work on defensively.”

Henning (20-1) won for a thirteenth straight time.  They will host Verndale on Tuesday night.

New York Mills (11-9) will be at home against Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley on Monday night.
