Wheaton/Herman-Norcross withstood a second have run by Battle Lake to escape with a 56-46 win at UM-Morris on Saturday afternoon.

“We got off to a slow start and fell behind early but were able to rally and were able to cut the lead to 9 by halftime, 16-25,” reported Battle Lake Head Coach David Marso.  “After the break we were able to make a nice run and gained a 1 point lead at the midway point of the second half.  The lead was short lived as the Warrior's freshman Brylie Schultz came up with some big baskets and they would hold on to the lead the rest of the way.”

Schultz led the Warriors with 24 points and Maycee Tolifson added 16.

Grace VanErp led Battle Lake with 19 points and 9 rebounds.  Makenna Tysdal added 14 points and Halie Johnson chipped in with 7 points and 5 rebounds.
